Hi! I'm Coach COJO

Learn a little more about me.

Coach Cojo is a Sports Performance Coach out of Hard Drive Elite, in Cedar Rapids, IA.  Participating in gymnastics for over 15 years as a youth athlete, running DI Track and Field in College and competing in martial arts as an adult, she has spent her fair share of time learning from a multitude of brilliant sports minds over the years. Her coaching style is a blend of all of these experiences, a passion for connecting and helping guide youth athletes and an approach that continues to evolve. Courtney has been through it all and has found a love for sharing everything she learned along the way with the next generation.

2010: Began Coaching Gymnastics at Hawkeye Gymnastics in Iowa City.


2013: Opened Hard Drive as a business and began doing private lessons for strength and conditioning and helping my husband run the martial arts classes; specifically, kickboxing. During this time I began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA in conjunction with the kickboxing. We also developed one of the first girls wrestling programs in the area. I was also responsible for documenting the journey and earning a photography degree from the Academy of Art, which was how I developed a passion for sports photography.


2017: Graduated From Academy of Art  with a degree in photography/photojournalism


2018: Hard Drive opened up on our new/current location and I began taking a larger number of clients for strength and conditioning and eventually grew out of the space at Hard Drive


2020: Opened HD Elite and focused on solely developing athletes.


2022: Have worked with 100s of youth athletes in our area and looking forward to providing our area’s athletes with more opportunities.

Sports Performance Training

We coach all types of athletes and develop athletic qualities like speed, power and strength; that will transfer to their sport on whatever playing field that may be. Typically athletes train 2-3x per week and sessions last 45 minutes to 1 hour.
